CBP's Large Animal Rescue Team (LART)
We, at Cracker Box Palace, have been working hard to develop the Large Animal Rescue Team for Wayne County's Animal Response Team. Wayne County's Emergency Management Department and Thelma Wideman should be very proud of the great work they've done organizing this wonderful group of volunteers to serve all kinds of animals during accidents and disasters. We have gotten alot of our equipment in place including our Large Animal Rescue Glide and the Liftex Lift in thanks to the Petco Foundation and the Max Gosenhauser Foundation grants. We have had many wonderful donations from our supporters to fill our first aid box and emergency equipment. And through the ASPCA we attended a four day Technical Large Animal Rescue Training this past June at Lollypop Farms in Rochester. And this is only the tip of the ice berg for trainings for us! There are more we will be taking and we hope to encourage all the emergency personnel or anyone who would like to learn more along with us to join in on the classes when we have them.
